I have never written for a blog before in my entire life. I am not that big on writing and never have been, but lately I am thinking of it as more of a therapeutic release. Since we started this blog I haven’t viewed it as work, but as something enjoyable and cathartic.
I love that I can just type out my thoughts.
At some points in my life where my stress levels were very high, I would write in a Word doc. I would let the feelings flow out of me and put them down on ‘paper’. I found it to be such a wonderful alternative to if you didn’t have someone to talk to in person. For example, one time I was sitting in the library bubbling with stress. So, instead of talking to someone I spoke to myself and wrote it down. It sounds silly but honestly writing down your thoughts is so helpful and that is why I am absolutely loving this blog. I encourage people to try this even just once - not starting a blog, but to write down your thoughts, no matter how big or small. I am hopeful that it will have the same therapeutic impact for you as it does for me.
This blog is a wonderful mental release. I get to write about things that are going on in my life and share it with all of you in hopes that you find some comfort/motivation in it. We all go through incredible experiences and not so incredible experiences and we want everyone to be able to share freely. You’re not alone if you don’t know your ‘specific path’ in life - a lot of us don’t. This community is here to normalize the confusion that we call life.
